The roots of the internet start as ARPAnet, a goverment network created by the Department of Defense to link major universities in order to protect data in the case of a natural disaster, or war.

April 1977-

Steve Wozniak- Apple II computer

1984-

The ARPAnet, now formally the internet, is officially made public. Four years later, the World Wide Web is created, allowing web sites to display multimedia.
